Some history
"Trio Marenich", also Marenichi or Trio Marenychiv, is a Ukrainian musical group that performed folk-style songs mainly in the Ukrainian language. The band's repertoire included both folk and original songs, including their own works. Many of the folk songs were arranged by members of the group, mainly Antonina Marenich. The group gained the greatest popularity in the USSR at the end of the 1970s and 1980s. The group broke up in 2004, its members later started solo careers. Composition: Valery Marenich, Antonina Marenich (Sukhorukova), Svitlana Marenich (Sukhorukova). Antonina is Svitlana's sister and Valery's wife.
