A fascinating piece of music history and a wonderful collectible for fans of classic American rock behind the Iron Curtain.
This original Soviet 7-inch vinyl EP was released by Melodiya in the mid-1970s and features songs written by John Fogerty, legendary songwriter, singer, and leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival. Interestingly, Soviet releases often avoided highlighting Western band names on covers and labels, instead using the generic designation "Vocal-Instrumental Ensemble", making these editions especially unique for collectors of Cold War-era music memorabilia.
The record includes two of Creedence Clearwater Revival's best-known songs, presented in an authentic Soviet pressing:
Side A
Tonight
Chameleon
Side B
Molina
Have You Ever Seen The Rain?
All songs are credited to John Fogerty and performed in English.
The sleeve design comes from the popular Soviet series Estradnye Melodii ("Popular Melodies"), recognizable for its colorful abstract artwork. The sleeve was printed in 1975 with a production run of 50,000 copies, while the record itself was pressed by Melodiya, the state-owned Soviet record company.
This record is an appealing collectible for:
Creedence Clearwater Revival fans
John Fogerty collectors
Soviet vinyl enthusiasts
Cold War memorabilia collectors
Vintage record display and music room décor
World music archive collections

Historical Note
Soviet editions of Western rock music are increasingly sought after because they often feature unique artwork, unusual translations, and distinctive publishing practices not found in Western releases.
A rare opportunity to own an authentic Soviet-era pressing of classic John Fogerty compositions.
I try to do my best to represent the item's true color in the pictures, but the colors may vary slightly due to differences in monitor calibrations.
