History of the Boryslav Porcelain Factory
After the Great Patriotic War, Ukrainian enterprises were destroyed and looted by the occupiers. It took many years to restore the national economy. But in parallel with the resumption of activities of former enterprises, the government worked out the issue of building new plants and factories. Therefore, in 1962-1967, new porcelain factories were planned to be put into operation in Ukraine, each of which would produce three million products each year. They were built in Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Boryslav and Synelnikov.
The Boryslav Porcelain Factory was opened in 1964. Both in his workshops and in Ternopil, a large volume of tableware was produced, which would have been needed by the Ukrainian SSR, but the products, of course, were also supplied to other cities of the Soviet Union. In addition to mass items, orders were received for the production of exclusive products, mainly for participation in international exhibitions.
