Set of 3 original vintage passive computer heatsinks from the iconic Gigabyte Silent-Pipe era.

These unusual cooling components feature a striking design that resembles miniature padlocks. Their distinctive U-shaped heat pipes rise above the finned aluminum bodies, creating one of the most recognizable and visually interesting passive cooling designs found in enthusiast PC hardware of the mid-to-late 2000s.

This set includes three matching heatsinks. Two pieces are clearly marked GIGABYTE, while the third has no visible brand marking but matches the other two in design, construction and overall appearance.

Gigabyte's Silent-Pipe technology was designed to move heat away from computer components through a heat-pipe system and finned cooling surfaces without relying on an additional fan. The technology was used across selected Gigabyte hardware during the 2000s as part of the company's focus on efficient, low-noise cooling.

The Silent-Pipe and related Gigabyte passive cooling designs were a notable feature of enthusiast computer hardware from this period. Gigabyte described Silent-Pipe as a fanless heat-pipe cooling system designed for chipset and other motherboard thermal zones, while related padlock-shaped designs also appeared on Gigabyte graphics hardware.

Pre-owned vintage computer hardware with signs of previous use and age.
