This authentic vintage food thermos is a beautiful example of practical 1980s Eastern European design. Made in Ukraine during the early 1980s, it features the iconic green-and-black tartan pattern that instantly gives cozy retro camping and picnic vibes.
Unlike standard beverage thermoses, this model was specially designed for hot meals — soups, porridge, stews, borscht, noodles, and other homemade comfort food. The extra wide mouth makes it easy to eat directly from the thermos and much easier to clean after use.
The thermos includes: large removable outer lid with carrying handle inner screw cap insulated glass vacuum liner inside metal body with classic tartan plaid finish
The deep yellow top lid also works as a serving bowl, making this piece especially practical for picnics, camping, road trips, fishing, hiking, or vintage kitchen display collections. Vintage thermoses with glass liners are highly appreciated because they retain heat extremely well and do not absorb food odors like many modern containers.
Condition: Good vintage condition with visible signs of age and use. There are scratches, rust spots on the metal body, and marks/staining on the screw cap area that could not be fully cleaned. The inner glass liner appears intact, but exact heat retention performance has not been professionally tested. Please review photos carefully.
