Vintage Soviet leather case for a photographic exposure meter or similar precision instrument, dating approximately from the 1960s–1970s.
A charming piece of vintage Soviet photographic equipment, offered as the original leather carrying case only. The instrument that originally belonged inside is not included.
The case has a compact, rigid construction designed to protect a small precision instrument. It features a dark black/navy leather exterior with a distinctive fine textured finish, a rounded flap with a metal snap closure, reinforced stitched edges and a long leather carrying strap.
Cases of this type were used with Soviet photographic and measuring equipment. The shape is consistent with cases made for compact photoelectric exposure meters, including instruments from the Leningrad series, although the exact model this particular case was made for cannot be confirmed without the original instrument.
